Job opening: Researcher + Writer (Wikipedia)

Researcher + Writer (Contractor / Full-time)

Our Researcher + Writers are responsible for the following:

  • Leading research and writing for key Wikipedia accounts and projects
  • Working closely with the accounts team to ensure business objectives are met
  • Writing to a high quality and following Wikipedia’s guidelines and standards
  • Editing, revising and reviewing work especially in response to feedback

Our Researcher + Writers will be expected to:

  • Work on tight deadlines
  • Self-check and proofread their own work
  • Learn and write in a style appropriate to Wikipedia

The Skills

  • 1-2 years of professional experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher required
  • Very strong written communication skills a must
  • Very strong research and analytical skills a must
  • Technical writing experience is preferred
  • Must be organized, resourceful and disciplined
  • Must be a self-starter who can stay on task without a manager on site
  • Experience in marketing or with an advertising agency a plus
