WEEK 57: AIN'T NOTHIN' BUT A WIKIHOUND...

While we're in this stretch of writing about harassment and other unsavory behavior on Wikipedia, we might as well start with the one with the best name: Wikihounding.

Wikihounding is when one (or sometimes more) editors single out a particular contributor to be challenged across multiple pages. At best, it's the Wikipedia equivalent of heckling someone—at worst, it's stalker behavior. In either case, it's disruptive and you can be blocked over it. No matter the hounder's intention—and typically they will point to high-minded reasons for their actions—the end result is annoyance and irritation.
