WEEK 106: Writing Articles, Who'da Thunk It?

Wikipedia has a number of essays that seem rather obvious, but are also kind of deceptively profound. One of these is "Articles must be written". It's a very short essay, compared to others, but it's valuable for summarizing the kinds of activities necessary to building an encyclopedia.

As the title suggests, of course, articles must be written. But they must also be linked, categorized, sourced, illustrated, talked about, and more. Writing encyclopedia articles is no easy task, and many sub-tasks go into the process: research, notes, outlines, and more.

Like the essay discussed, we'll keep this WP:60 installment short. All the more time to get writing articles!

Next week: we turn our attentions to some more technical matters at Wikipedia.
