Accounting Manager
Beutler Ink (aka BINK), a creative PR agency specializing in Wikipedia consulting and creative content strategies, seeks an Accounting Manager to join our team.
As an integral part of BINK’s team, your primary responsibilities will be to manage all client billings, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and full-cycle accounting to manage BINK’s business finances. This role requires an experienced accounting professional with a deep understanding of QuickBooks Online, knowledge of and experience in applying standard accounting principles, excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and superior collaboration and organizational skills.
Candidates should have 6+ years of full-cycle accounting, with at least 3 years of accountability for full-cycle company accounting. We would love it if that experience were in a creative agency. Be a power user of QuickBooks Online, prefer a CPA, superb attention to detail, and a wizard in Google Sheets and Excel. Bring a deep understanding of accounting principles. This role requires the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Importantly, a desire to be part of a high-functioning team.

Position Description
Accounting Manager
An integral part of Beutler Ink’s team, reports directly to the VP of Business Operations and closely collaborates with all members of the BINK team
Responsible for all client billings, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and full-cycle accounting to manage BINK’s business finances
This is an individual contributor role managing all company ledgers and reconciliations
Create and update financial reporting and analysis
Requires an experienced accounting professional with a deep understanding of QuickBooks Online, knowledge of and experience in applying standard accounting principles
Serve as an impeccable representative of the company in all interactions
Support business operations as needed
Responsibilities
Manage all BINK’s business accounting needs
Maintain the general ledger, reconciliation of all accounts, and the proper recording of financial transactions
Manage accounts receivable and the collection process
Manage accounts payable
Monitor QuickBooks Online links with financial institutions on a daily basis
Prepare financial statements
Monthly close process
Payroll reconciliation and payroll projections
Monitor project billing schedules in Monday.com and participate in transition to HubSpot
Review monthly Facebook/AmEx paid advertising activity for social media clients
Generate client invoices in QuickBooks
Send client invoices in the format they have requested
Access client portals for purchase order and processing information
Update spreadsheet of monthly advance billings / client deposits
Prepare weekly A/R email for Ops and Accounts teams
Send pings, copies, monthly statements, and backup info to clients as needed
Provide ACH or wire transfer instructions as needed
Review bank deposit information from CPA
Record client payments in QuickBooks
Manage all internal financial spreadsheets that assist leadership in managing the business
Annual budget creation and tracking with the Executive Team.
Track and effectively manage cash flow
Coordinate tax filings with outside CPA
Skills / Qualifications
Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, business administration or other related fields
6+ years of professional experience as a full-charge bookkeeper, accounting manager, senior accountant or other similar role in digital strategy (agency experience preferred)
3+ years of accountability for full-cycle company accounting preferably in an agency environment
QuickBooks Online power user
CPA license (preferred)
Superb attention to detail
Expertise in Google Sheets and Excel
Deep understanding of all accounting principals
Exceptional organizational skills
Demonstrate excellent written communication skills
Be solution-oriented, proactive, and team-spirited
Flexible, able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, with a variety of team members and clients concurrently in multiple time zones, and on occasions, outside of regular business hours
Highly organized and efficient, with the ability to prioritize own workload
Be a motivated, self-starter who can lead a remote project and ensure superior communications on task and work independently with minimal manager prompting
Comfortable operating in the “gray” when something is not spelled out
Have strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain professionalism, comportment, and adaptability as needed in high-pressure situations and tight deadlines
Have outstanding organizational, communication, coordination, problem-solving, and critical/proactive thinking
Ability to use Google Suite and Slack effectively for daily work
Deep commitment to follow through and to meet deadlines
Realizes getting the work done effectively, efficiently, and delivering high-quality work is paramount to company and team success
Critical soft skills: interpersonal communication and business acumen
