Should our individual brands have their own Wikipedia articles?

Fewer than their marketing teams would hope. Which is to say, only the ones that earn them through sustained media attention. Wikipedia gives a brand its own article when it has received significant news coverage on its own, separate from coverage of the parent company. A household-name product with decades of press likely already has one, but there's no guarantee. Even a company with a hit product or a famous CEO is not assured a page.

This doesn't mean those products or brands cannot be mentioned on Wikipedia. So long as enough press mentions exist to accurately describe what it is and how it fits into the overall company picture, it can be included on the parent company's page. And with the creation of a "redirect", which is a shortcut to the next-most relevant article, readers searching for the brand on Wikipedia (or Google) will still find what they're looking for.
