Does Wikipedia traffic convert?

Rarely, if you mean readers clicking through and buying something, and judging Wikipedia that way misses most of its value. Some readers do click through to your website, and your analytics will show them as visitors arriving from Wikipedia, but the numbers are usually small. If that traffic were the only reason to care about Wikipedia, it wouldn't be much of a reason.

Most of the value comes before anyone clicks anything. Your article shapes what people see in places that never send you a visitor: the Knowledge Panel beside your Google results, the summary an AI assistant gives when someone asks about you, the background paragraph a journalist borrows on deadline, the research an investor or job candidate does before a meeting. None of that shows up in your analytics, and all of it influences decisions. Think of your article less as a source of traffic and more as the reference document everything else consults.

So measure what matters: whether the article is accurate, and how you come across in the places that draw on it.
