📊 Wikipedia's COI Waitlist Made Visible

Wikipedia's edit request queue has been getting more crowded for some time now. This summer we launched editrequests.wiki, a public dashboard that shows just how jammed up it is. The short version: open requests have grown more than tenfold since July 2023, and it can take up to 30 days to get a response. Beutler Ink is the first to identify, analyze, and publish this data. Even better: we've made our methods and code available to anyone who wants to dig into it for themselves.

🔍 Wiki Brief: For Our Agency Partners

What does a client's Wikipedia article actually look like, and who has been editing it? Wiki Brief is a new web service answering both quickly: a short, forwardable report on the article's condition and editing history, ready to bring to a client check-in. It's free for Beutler Ink's agency partners. To request access, write to wikibrief@beutlerink.com.

📺 WikiWord Is On the Air

Beutler Ink has its own show! WikiWord, our short video series hosted by Josh Leach, breaks down the latest Wikipedia news in a few minutes flat, from Larry Sanger to Sam Altman. The first episode dropped in early July, and new ones post every week on our YouTube channel.

📍 Greetings from Chicago

In September, the whole Beutler Ink team spent a week together in Chicago for our annual summit, and it was a blast. Thanks to everyone who made time to see us while we were in town.
