Do you work in languages other than English?

Yes. Most of our work happens on English Wikipedia, but multinational clients rarely have an English-only footprint, and we are set up for that. Beutler Ink maintains its own research on how to engage each major language version of Wikipedia, including German, French, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, Arabic, and Korean, because the rules differ from one to the next.

Those differences change what we will and won't propose. Some language versions allow openly disclosed corrections that others prohibit outright, and the standards for whether a company qualifies for an article vary enough that the same company can qualify in one language and not another. When an engagement extends into another language, we follow that version's own rules and customs, working with fluent writers and local news sources rather than translated boilerplate.

If your footprint spans languages, bring it up in the first conversation. It affects the scope of the work more than almost anything else.
