Ever wondered just what goes into ice cream? We're not talking about what makes the pecans swirl and the roads rocky. We mean just the basic ingredients that comprise this favorite cold confection. Think it's cream, sugar, and eggs? Think again! Today's ice creams are a Neapolitan blend of old-time soda shop and newfangled laboratory. 

Recently, we came across some fascinating data, compiled by Matthew Bischoff and presented on the Accidental Tech Podcast, identifying the various ingredients many of the major ice cream brands use in their tasty treats. Using Bischoff's data set, our graphic organizes these brands from the most ingredients to the fewest. Take a look:
